This Labor Day weekend, downtown Raleigh came alive with music, art, food, and culture as the 16th Annual African American Cultural Festival (AACF) brought thousands together under the theme Heritage Heartbeat.

Heritage Heartbeat: A Celebration of Community
The festival’s theme, Heritage Heartbeat, echoed throughout City Plaza and Fayetteville Street. From vibrant vendor markets and soulful performances to educational exhibits and family-friendly activities, the heartbeat of African American culture pulsed through every moment.

The Men of Southeast Raleigh brought their trademark energy and commitment, helping ensure the festival ran smoothly while uplifting the community spirit that makes events like this so powerful. Their presence served as both a symbol of leadership and a reminder of the importance of service in building stronger neighborhoods. We can not wait until next year.
